The hedge fund bosses of course do not mask while their domestic helpers do. It really captured the petty tyranny and futility of it all.
I don't think it makes any sense for her to be telling the truth. If she could visit the alternate dimension/reality and come back, EVERYONE there would come back with her due to economies of scale.
